Nicola
Hill
Nicola
is one of the few specialist writers in the voluntary sector.
An
LSE graduate in social psychology, Nicola spent three years with
the Cancer Research Campaign, now called Cancer Research UK, and
two with the RNIB, producing fundraising publications, taking them
from the concept stage through to writing, editing and print buying.
She then moved into journalism and spent three years as news editor
at NCVO News, now called Voluntary Sector.
Nicola
also helped to launch the Guardian's website, societyguardian.co.uk
in November 2000 and worked for two years as the charities reporter,
writing stories, commissioning articles and developing the website.
Laura
McCaffrey
Laura
has developed a successful freelance business offering the whole
range of editorial services, from design through writing and editing
to project management.
Her
extensive experience includes over 13 years working for publishing
houses large and small, leaving to forge a freelance career following
five years as Group Managing Editor of a portfolio of titles, awards
ceremonies and conferences.
Laura's
specialist areas are the voluntary sector, tourism, business and
finance.
